An Order of Sweetbread
The best place to eat is of that where the locals are patrons and the Timo is just that.
This Tim Andriola-helmed and co-owned restaurant excels in cooking strong flavors of Mediterranean cuisine, such as homemade pastas, sweetbreads with aged balsamic vinegars, honey and bacon as well as reasonably-priced artisan pizzas. Parmesan dumplings served in a truffle broth as well as wood-roasted meats are also favorites here.
Find out more about Timo, wherein the main courses start at $9 to $32, in this review posted on travel-oriented website, called Frommer’s:
Among the specialties, try the handcrafted pastas, including foie gras ravioli with wild mushrooms, asparagus, and black truffle jus; sea bass with truffled polenta and roasted wild mushrooms; and a phenomenal veal scaloppini. Less pricey, less heavy items are also available, such as a delicious ricotta-and-fontina wood-fired pizza with white truffle oil -- perfect for lunch or a happy-hour snack.
